A New Pool - 2006

This is our first post, so it's important to start from the beginning if this is to be a complete log of DIY projects.  So...back to the beginning...December 2005!  We purchased our suburban corner lot on the Treasure Coast in SE FL after relocating from Chicago where we've lived for most of our lives.

During our inspection, December 2005...

The previous owners weren't much into landscaping...

One of our first goals was to install a pool.

After 2 months of mud, the pool was complete!

Then we concentrated on some much needed landscaping.  This is the front yard in 2008...

We added this bed in the rear side yard in 2008.

We added the Ponderosa Lemon and Meyer Lemon trees in 2008, along with a navel orange, brown turkey fig, and bananas!

Here's the completed poolscape with the bananas behind the pool (we like them for privacy as well as yummy fruit!).

Now, when we finish working on any given project, we take a dip in the pool or relax on a raft with a fruity beverage!  Refreshing and tropical!  Just what the doctor ordered!!
